Cape Cod is like no other place in the world. I had the pleasure of spending Fathers Day weekend with my family on Cape Cod. We spent our days kayaking and beaching, and for dinner we had lobster and grilled veggies. We also went to my favorite restaurant called, Sesuit Harbor Cafe and ordered fried clams and lobster rolls. It is a BYOB and has a beautiful view of the harbor. We drank white wine and watched the sunset.
I just discovered an amazing series of farm dinners that travel the world. Outstanding in The Field host magical dinners in the most unlikely of places including fields, farms, orchards, vineyards, and parks. The dinner table is incorporated into the atmosphere as an art form and local chefs come and prepare locally grown seasonal dishes. Everyone who attends bring their own plate. Its a brilliant idea. The founder of this traveling farm dinner is named Jim Denevan and is a chef and artist. He uses outdoor environments as his canvas and makes his "mark" on vast landscapes. My very talented friend, Katie is traveling with Outstanding this summer as their sommelier. I hope to get the opportunity to cover their dinner at Grant Park or City Farm this August. Fingers crossed. In the meantime, here are few images from their site.
